This past weekend Greg and I went to the bay for a little get away. I needed a break, lately I've been having stressful days. This was a nice get away for the two of us, we had a really good time. I started off by getting my haircut, which by the way turned out great. I got alot of compliments today. Then we went to have lunch at Juan's mexican restaurant, food was really good and authentic too. Next we went to San Francisco, got to Pier 39 around 4pm. It was perfect timing because when we got to the ticket booth, they said the last bay cruise was at 4:30pm so we made it just in time. Greg bought the combo ticket which included bay cruise trip and admission to the Aquarium of the Bay. We went on the bay cruise first since we were close on time, not thinking Greg didn't bring his jacket and I didn't bring my scarf so we were pretty cold. I didn't get sick which was great for me, I did take some dramamine after lunch just in case but I think I would have been ok without. But you never know. So we headed off on the cruise and we went to the Golden Gate Bridge first which was really cool to see up close. Greg got some underneath pictures which was cool, then it took us around Alcatraz which was cool too. The cruise lasted about an hour, below are pictures from the cruise.

After the cruise we went to the Aquarium of the Bay, we saw alot of cool fishes. They had 3 sections, the 1st section had a bunch of different fish in tanks. The 2nd section was titled "Under the Bay", we got to walk thru this long tunnel that had a moving belt that we walked on. The tunnel was like huge tank that we were walking thru. We got to see all different kind of fish like (sea bass, sharks, stingrays, Greg's favorite fish - California Sheephead, starfish, and more). The 3rd section was called "Touch the Bay", this is where you got to touch Stingrays and Sharks, Starfish, and Coral. Greg went around touching stuff, he had a good time. I walked around taking pictures. You will see some below.

After the aquarium we walked through Pier 39 and looked through all the shops. I got a few early birthday gifts, he got me a stained glass with a dolphin and he put it in our entry way of our kitchen. I really like it. He also got me these 4 dolphin figurines that I can display as one big figurine or 4 small figurines. So I have them displayed on our mantel with the picture we got from our bay cruise. It's perfect touch for our mantle. For dinner he took me to this really nice seafood restaurant on the end of the Pier called "Scomas". I had pasta with clams in a half shell, they were steamed perfect that they just fell out of the shell. Greg had swordfish that had the best flavor. I would recommend this restaurant if you like seafood and your at the Pier. After a long day we ended our day around 10pm. We got back to his grandma's sometime before 11. I was so wiped out by the time we got back I just crashed as soon as I hit the bed. Thanks to my love for a wonderful birthday trip, I loved every bit of what we did and where we went.
