Well on Sunday we went to the Berkeley Kite Festival at the Berkleley Marina. This was the first time that we went here. I will first say, I have never seen so many kites in one location before. We all had a great time. When we first got there I wasn't sure if we would stay more then 2 hours but we ended up staying 5 1/2 hours. Once Brandon got a kite he was kept busy. Him and Greg would take turns flying the kite so they had fun doing that. Throughout the day they had competitions going on, performances, so I was not bored to say the least. We didn't dress appropriately, we know for next time. It was pretty chilly out there. Next time we know to bundle up. Alot of people brought blankets, lawn chairs, coolers with food and drinks, tents to sit in. So we know for next year of what we can bring. I would definetly like to go back next year. Here are some pics. The last picture is Brandon's kite.

Discovery Kingdom
Well this past weekend we went to Discovery Kingdom with Jill and Jason. We had a great time. First off we got there an hour before they opened, so we got a really close parking spot. We got our tickets right away and was able to get in the park. But then we realized that they make you wait in the entrance area of the park after you entered until they open, so we had to wait about 20 minutes. Once it was 10:3o am they untied the ropes and let everyone though. The first ride that we went on was the Medusa and then we went on Kong. I felt a little lightheaded after I got off of this ride. We immediately went to Kong and got on right away. That's the benefits of getting there early we got on 2 rides within a 1/2 hour. After that we went to see the Sea Lion show, that was pretty good. Jill and Jason arrived when that show started, but they went straight to the rides and had to wait in a long line. We met up with them a little while later and hung out together. Jason was like a big kid, he wanted to go on every ride. I went on a few rides but didn't go on everything. One of the rides that we went on was "White Water Safari", that one definetly cooled us off since we were soaked by the time we got off. Greg got soaked the most. He would walk and water would come out of his shoes, I should have taken a picture. We didn't see all of the shows that we wanted to but since we got the Big Six Pass we can go 5 more times before January. So we plan to go once a month until then. By the time we wen to the safari side of the park to see the giraffe's and tigers it was closed, so we want to see that next time. Gives us more reason to go, ha ha. We left the park when it closed, we were all pretty tired. Greg, Brandon and I ended up going to dinner at Katana-ya, which is a japanese restaurant in El Cerrito. We ran into Jill's Auntie Lorraine and Uncle Ron. So we all had dinner together it was nice to chat with them since we haven't seen them in a while. By the time dinner was over it was almost 10:00. We went back to Greg's grandma's house and all fell asleep soon after we visited for a little while. Below are some pics.

Seeing more results
Well today I got weighed and measured. Still seeing results, which is a good thing. Since I started Curves which was back in January, this is how much I have lost:
Bust: 0.25 inches Waist: 2 inches Abdomen: 0.75 inches Hips: 0.50 inches
Thighs: 1.50 inches Arms: 2 inches Weight: 5.40 lbs Body Fat %: 4.38%
Total Inches: 7 Total Workouts: 71
I'm happy that I'm losing the body fat, I never realized how much that makes a difference. My clothes are starting to fit better and hopefully I will keep seeing more results as I go. I will keep you posted on my progress.

Coconut
Brandon got his first coconut and he was having a good time opening it. He had some troubles but he finally opened it. I tried drinking the juice and it did not taste good. But Brandon seemed to like it. I also tried tasting a piece of the coconut and it does not taste anything like I've had before. It was fun to see him trying to open it, he had help by Greg. See pics below:

4th of July
Well this 4th of July was nice. We had a bbq and my parents came over. Greg bbq'd hotdogs, hamburgers and corn. It was delicious, my mom made a macaroni salad. For dessert we had assorted cheesecakes (strawberry swirl, triple chocolate, caramel apple, and original). I had the caramel apple and it was delicious. Once it got dark we all headed outside to start the fireworks. We had 2 of the same family packs and a bunch of others. Greg bought the purple rains, which seem to be the best. They lasted long and of course they were purple. Brandon had fun lighting the fireworks of course. My mom, Brandon and I did alot of the sparklers. Those were fun, except when it got really windy and one of the sparks went towards me. I screamed of course but it didn't burn anything on me. Here are some pictures from the fireworks:
