Memorial Day BBQ 2008
This past weekend we had a BBQ for Memorial Day and my parents came over. Greg used the electric grill that was given to us. It's not the same as having the charcoal taste but it was good. He was able to cook 1o burgers at one time which was cool. He had bought a watermelon and I cut half of it and made melon balls. I've never done this before so it was fun and me trying to be creative. You'll see the pictures below. Brandon and Greg were skateboarding outside after we finished eating. I will attach the video.

Sparkles and Sweets Birthday
Today is Sparkles 2nd Birthday. We are celebrating Sweets Birthday too since were not sure when hers is. Today I went to Petco and got them a few catnip toys. I love seeing them play with toys that have catnip. It's pretty funny sometimes. Sparkles played with the toys a little bit, but Sweets loved them. She was having a great time. Sparkles would have been happy with a paper bag for her gift, she loves household stuff for toys. Especially something she can crawl into and hide. Here are a few pics and videos that I took.
Visit to San Jose
This past weekend Brandon and I went to San Jose to spend time with family. I was excited to spend time with Emi, I haven't seen her in about 6 months. I can't believe how much she has grown since the last time I saw her. She definetly is growing into a darling little girl. We got there around 11am on Saturday, we went to pick up Bachi (my grandma) and then went to Rich and Joyce's house. We stayed there and visited with them, later that afternoon Joyce, Emi and myself went shopping to get Emi out of the house. She got a new bath toy on this trip, which she really likes. That evening we had dinner and stayed the night. The next morning Rich went to work and I watched Emi until her mom got up. We played and read books. Brandon and I use the bike pump and blew up her swimming pool, which she loved. Once Rich got home from work Emi got to go in it and she did not want to come out. But she was getting to cold, when we brought her inside her skin was starting to turn blue. It was definetly too cold for her. A few hours later she got to go back in the pool and the water was warmer, it's so cute because when you say to her "Is it time to get out??" or "Are you all done??", right away she says "No, No, No". So cute. Below is a few pics and videos from my trip:

Mother's Day
Today is Mother's Day, and it was another great day. Greg cooked me a delicious breakfast. Then I met my parents and Brandon at the cemetary. Next, went to visit Auntie Gail and spend time with her. It was nice to visit her for a while. Brandon and I brought lunch home and then I just relaxed. Greg and I went grocery shopping and then I changed our bed sheets and watched tv. Greg cooked us his delicious seafood pasta dish. Today Brandon also gave me this beautiful gift, picture below. Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day.....
My Birthday
I had a great birthday. On Friday, my parents took me to Ichi Maki for dinner. We had a real nice dinner. My parents, grandpa, Brandon and Greg came, which was nice. Pictures of my gifts from Brandon and my parents are below...

On my birthday Greg and I went to eat lunch at Chipotle. Then we went to see "What Happens in Vegas". It was a cute, funny movie. After the movie we went shopping. I picked out a new coffee mug that Greg bought me since my old one was falling apart. I like that it's purple, wasn't so thrilled about the poker symbols on it but it's growing on me. Later that night we went to dinner at Hungry Hunter, which is my favorite place. Dinner was perfect, you'll see pictures below from dinner. After dinner we went to the "Limelight" which is a bar near downtown Sacramento and had a few drinks. It was a very nice night. Below are also pictures of gifts that Greg bought me in when we went to SF last weekend. Overall I had a great birthday.

Trip to the Bay
This past weekend Greg and I went to the bay for a little get away. I needed a break, lately I've been having stressful days. This was a nice get away for the two of us, we had a really good time. I started off by getting my haircut, which by the way turned out great. I got alot of compliments today. Then we went to have lunch at Juan's mexican restaurant, food was really good and authentic too. Next we went to San Francisco, got to Pier 39 around 4pm. It was perfect timing because when we got to the ticket booth, they said the last bay cruise was at 4:30pm so we made it just in time. Greg bought the combo ticket which included bay cruise trip and admission to the Aquarium of the Bay. We went on the bay cruise first since we were close on time, not thinking Greg didn't bring his jacket and I didn't bring my scarf so we were pretty cold. I didn't get sick which was great for me, I did take some dramamine after lunch just in case but I think I would have been ok without. But you never know. So we headed off on the cruise and we went to the Golden Gate Bridge first which was really cool to see up close. Greg got some underneath pictures which was cool, then it took us around Alcatraz which was cool too. The cruise lasted about an hour, below are pictures from the cruise.

After the cruise we went to the Aquarium of the Bay, we saw alot of cool fishes. They had 3 sections, the 1st section had a bunch of different fish in tanks. The 2nd section was titled "Under the Bay", we got to walk thru this long tunnel that had a moving belt that we walked on. The tunnel was like huge tank that we were walking thru. We got to see all different kind of fish like (sea bass, sharks, stingrays, Greg's favorite fish - California Sheephead, starfish, and more). The 3rd section was called "Touch the Bay", this is where you got to touch Stingrays and Sharks, Starfish, and Coral. Greg went around touching stuff, he had a good time. I walked around taking pictures. You will see some below.

After the aquarium we walked through Pier 39 and looked through all the shops. I got a few early birthday gifts, he got me a stained glass with a dolphin and he put it in our entry way of our kitchen. I really like it. He also got me these 4 dolphin figurines that I can display as one big figurine or 4 small figurines. So I have them displayed on our mantel with the picture we got from our bay cruise. It's perfect touch for our mantle. For dinner he took me to this really nice seafood restaurant on the end of the Pier called "Scomas". I had pasta with clams in a half shell, they were steamed perfect that they just fell out of the shell. Greg had swordfish that had the best flavor. I would recommend this restaurant if you like seafood and your at the Pier. After a long day we ended our day around 10pm. We got back to his grandma's sometime before 11. I was so wiped out by the time we got back I just crashed as soon as I hit the bed. Thanks to my love for a wonderful birthday trip, I loved every bit of what we did and where we went.
