Halloween

This year for Halloween I think Brandon and I did a really good job on carving our pumpkins. We had several compliments when the kids came to our door to get candy. One lady actually took a picture of my pumpkin, I was surprised.

Bingo

So thist past Saturday, 6 of us went to play Bingo for the first time. We didn't really know what to expect since it was our first time. We all got there before 6:30 and got our cards. We paid $16 which gave us 26 games and that lasted until 10:15pm. Each game was worth at least $250. When we all sat down we must have look like "newbees" since people kind of starred at us. We were probably the youngest ones in there, so they were probably wondering why we weren't at the bars or clubs. But we wanted to try something new and thought that this would be fun. We played several different games, and we had to catch on pretty quickly since the games changed pretty fast. The games were all a little different. We each had a different color dobber, and so after each game we switched so we all got to use different colors. We noticed that they sell all different colors and sizes in a vendor machine, so the next time I'm going to get me a different color. There was this couple that sat behind us that helped us through. It was nice of them to offer because there were a few games that we might have got lost. By the night end none of us had won but we had a GREAT time, and were definetly going to go back again. Some of us got close to winning, like only needing one more number. I think the people around us might have gotten upset if we were to have win since we were new. But oh well, we paid our moeny like they did so we deserve the right to win as much as they did. I only played once and I'm hooked.

Great America

Another day when we were in San Jose a group of us went to Great America (myself, Brandon, aunt, uncle, cousin Rich and Emi). This was Emi's first time at Great America and she had a blast. She loved riding the roller coaster, she has no fear. She went on several rides and couldn't get enough. She enjoyed meeting her favorite cartoon character Dora and Diego. She took pictures with them a few times. Rich and Brandon went on several rides together. The 3 of us went on Invertigo, luckily the ride did not break down when we were on it. This past Saturday I heard people were stuck on this ride high in the air for up to 4 hours. That's just crazy! Brandon won 2 basketballs and Rich won 1. Emi even won a Dora ball in the kid games, so that was cool. That's the best prize she could have won. We went to see a Ice Show while we were there, that was cool too. We stayed there from open to close, I didn't think we were going to stay that long. Emi took her nap on time and so she was good to go all day. By the time we all got home after we had dinner at Boogie's, we were all exhausted. Oh and by the way the weather was perfect. Couldn't have been better, it was overcast when we go there and warmed up a bit after. The rides were not that crowded I think that was due to the weather and also that we went on a Thursday. Overall a great trip.

Santa Cruz Boardwalk

The 2nd day we were in San Jose Brandon and I went to Santa Cruz with my aunt, uncle and cousin Ron. We went to the Boardwalk. Brandon and I went on one roller coaster "Giant Dipper", the roller coaster was cool. Of course I screamed while on the ride like always. Brandon and my cousin Ron played video games in the arcade for a while the had a blast like always. My uncle played the chicken in the pot game and won 2 cute monkeys for his granddaughter Emi, she loved them of course. Brandon won a glass and a shot glass at the dime toss. I love winning cups. We have a collection of them at home from their. The weather was nice and we had a good time.

Trip to Monterey

Last weekend Brandon and I went to Monterey for Jill's (my cousin) birthday. We started off by going to her house in Oakland early Saturday morning to meet her new dog Lucky. She is adorable, but did not warm up to us as we hoped. She is really attached to Jill. We stayed there for about an hour and then headed to the Oakland airport to pick up Jill's best friend Monique. Then we went to Mountain View to eat some delicious ramen. We went to a store afterwards then we went to my cousin Rich's house in San Jose to drop our stuff off since Brandon and I were going to stay with his family for a week after our trip to Monterey. From there we went to Monterey, and checked in our hotel when we got there and then did some site seeing before dinner. We had dinner reservations at Passionfish, food was excellent. For dessert we went across the street to an ice cream shoppe. Brandon of course got some but I was too full from dinner. It was pretty late by this time so we all went back to our hotel and rested for the next day.

Sunday morning we all got up early and went to eat breakfast at Toastie's. They served delicious breakfast dishes. I will definetley go back the next time were in Monterey. Then we all headed to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and had a great time. We split up into groups after we saw the tuna and baracuda feedings which was cool to watch. The seahorse exhibit was one of the coolest exhibits at the aquarium, they did a good job putting this exhibit together. We met for lunch afterwards and had some delicious Clam Chowder in a bread bowl. That is one of my favorite dishes. We all split up again when it was time to go home. Brandon and I stayed in Monterey for a 1 hour and 1/2 since he wanted to climb on rocks. He loves to explore and climb on rocks, so I figured we had time so why not. I on the other hand is not a big fan of doing this so I watched him and took pictures until he convinced me to join him. I was scared but did it anyway. By the time we got to San Jose it was after 7pm, traffic was really bad. But overall our trip to Monterey, was great. Too bad we couldn't have stayed longer. Thanks Jill for suggesting this trip hope to do it again soon.

Keith Urban Concert 2009

Hi,
So last Thursday, July 23rd Greg and I went to the Keith Urban concert at Arco Arena. We had a blast. Keith Urban is such a great performer, and this was our 3rd time seeing him in concert and it was another GREAT show. LeAnn Rimes was the opener, and she was good too. I have never seen her in concert before but she put on a great show as well. It was like we got to see two headliner performers. Below are some pics from the concert:

Kenny Chesney Concert

Last Saturday, a group of us went to see Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert and Sugarland (they didn't show) at AT&T Park in San Francisco. We had a blast! We left the Rocklin area around 11am and got to SF around 2 or so. When we got to the parking lot there was a bunch of people tailgating, it was crazy. I've seen people tailgate before but this time they brought gazebos taking up 2 or 3 parking spaces. They had bbq's, and lots of alcohol. After we got there we walked over the County Fair that they had going on and two of my coworkers Robyn and Regina went on the drop zone. They had a blast on that ride. Then we went back to the car to get our things and then headed to AT&T Park. When we got there and was waiting in line for the gates to open we saw a sign that said Sugarland wasn't going to be performing due to Jennifer Nettles losing her voice. I was bummed. Once they opened the gates we got through and headed up to our seats. Our seats were pretty high up there but they were good.

The concert was overall good and I think we all had a good time. The group that sat next to me was crazy thou, they were getting up every 15-20 minutes to get another drink. The drinks were so expensive there, they ranged from $8-$10 each. The guy next to me didn't take long to get drunk and was stumbling around next to me. At one point he dropped his sunglasses and was using a lighter for light to try and find it on the ground. I was scared that he was going to burn my feet since I was wearing flip flops. Crazy guy! The concert finished around 10:45pm or so and by the time we got back to the car it was closer to 11:30 or something like that. It took us forever to get out of the parking lot and to get home with all the traffic. I fell asleep of course. By the time I got back to my house after carpooling with some coworkers it was 3:30am. I was exhausted.

Well the next concert I'm going to is tomorrow, Greg and I are going to see Keith Urban and Leann Rimes. I'm so looking forward to this concert! Look forward to the blog post on Friday.

My first B

Well I just received my grade for my Communications class. I ended up with a 88.6% (B+). It's disappointing to me because I wanted an A. But with everything that has happened in the last month I kind of expected this grade. I did not put the effort into my assignments as I would have. For my final project, I needed to score at least 235 out of 250 to bring my grade up to an A. But I only scored 207. Anyway well I have 2 new classes now, another Communications class and my first Accounting class so hopefully I will pass these 2 with A's. Will see.

I know I'm a DORK

Ok everyone probably is going to think I'm nuts. But my car hit 100,000 miles today as I was driving to work. So I had to take a picture of it. I know it's crazy but I had to post a picture of it.

Another A++

Well this past weekend I was working on my 2 final projects for my classes. I submitted both of them yesterday and I got a grade for one of them already. For my Communications 150 Class I got a 250/250 on my final project and ended the class with a 99.4%. I was so excited when I saw my grade. Especially since this final project I didn't put the effort that I should have but I still got full credit for it. Now I'm just waiting for my grade for my Critical Thinking class. Hopefully it will be just as good, will see. I will post it as soon as I get my grade back.

Mother's Day / Birthday

So for lunch today we went to Red Robin, food was delicious. Brandon and I took a picture outside. After that we went shopping, to find me a bluetooth headset. We went to Best Buy and then to Frys. I got the perfect one at Frys. It's silver and lights up purple, it even came with a cute pouch and charging docking station. It was definetly worth the wait to find the right one. My parents invited us for dinner at there house, my dad bbq'd steaks and corn. It was delicious like always. My mom bought me a lemon cake which was good too. This was another good birthday and Mother's Day, I wish I didn't have to work tomorrow. ha ha

Birthday / Mother's Day

This year my Birthday lands on Mother's Day. On Friday Greg's mom and Don had flowers delivered to our house. There so pretty and smell nice too. See pics below. Saturday my parents took us to Red Lobster for dinner, it was delicious. I got so much food we had to take some home. My parents and Brandon got me this pretty purple shirt and a Kitchen Aid Mixer (see pics belows). I never thought that I would get one of these, I can't wait to start using it. I seen Joyce use hers and it is so much easier then using a hand mixer. Yesterday before dinner Greg said that he wanted to take me somewhere to go walking. I didn't know where he was taking me until we got off the Folsom Blvd Exit. We were going to the Folsom Outlets, it's been a long time since I've been there. He let me pick out some stuff which was cool. I got 2 pink shirts and 2 pairs of flip flops. I was just complaining that morning that I needed new flip flops so it was perfect. This morning Greg gave me the 90210 - 4th Season to add to my collection I only have 6 more to go to complete the collection. Hope every mom has a great Mother's Day!

Spring Break

Spring break Brandon and I went to San Jose for 7 days. We got back this past Friday. We both had a great time down there. Brandon got to do several things while we were there. He went to Santa Cruz and went on a few rides, played games in the arcade and the dime toss game with his cousins Rich and Ron. He won 3 glasses, so that was cool we added them to our cup collection. One day he went fishing near Santa Cruz with Uncle Bob, they only caught one fish but they had a great time and talked. Twice he went to Nickel City with Rich and Ron, Brandon loves that place. It's full of arcade games that you can play for a nickel. Ron took him to see "Fast and the Furious", Brandon liked that movie. He also went to the flea market with Rich on Sunday to find things for there experiment. They are both so similar in what they like and thinking about. It's weird, I always tell Brandon that he is just like Rich when he does certain things.

I on the other hand had a great time getting to know Emi and Naomi. They are both the most adorable girls and have the greatest personalities. I didn't succeed my goals while I was there, I was hoping to get Emi potty trained and Naomi to drink from a bottle. But I was unsuccessful on both, sorry Joyce. I can't believe how many times Joyce and I went to Target. We went to 3 different Targets on 3 seperate days. Thanks Joyce for taking me around with you in San Jose, I had a great time. I liked going to Emi's school and watching her hunt for Easter Eggs, she had a great time. My aunt and I took Emi to the Children's Mueseum and she enjoyed going there. It was hard to get her to leave, there is so much interactive things for her to do there. The only thing that sucked while I was down there was I got sick. I'm still dealing with this annoying cough. I'm hoping it goes away soon, it's hard for me to sleep through the night. I'm surviving on cough syrup and cough drops all day.

Another thing that we had a great time doing was playing American Idol, that was hilarious at times. Rich, Joyce, Brandon and I played 3 nights in a row. Next time we go down there I need to get American Idol II so we have more songs to sing. Rich was hilarious to watch, he gets all into the singing. Below are some pics from this past week.
